{"id":13315,"date":"2019-02-28T23:06:44","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T15:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/photos-soyuz-lifts-off-on-first-oneweb-mission\/"},"modified":"2019-02-28T23:06:44","modified_gmt":"2019-02-28T15:06:44","slug":"photos-soyuz-lifts-off-on-first-oneweb-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/photos-soyuz-lifts-off-on-first-oneweb-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Photos: Soyuz lifts off on first OneWeb mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Soyuz booster vaulted into a sunset sky over French Guiana on Wednesday evening, arcing north from the jungle spaceport in South America with six satellites to inaugurate OneWeb\u2019s global broadband network.<\/p>\n<p>The Soyuz ST-B rocket, fueled by kerosene and liquid oxygen, lifted off from the Guiana Space Center at 6:37 p.m. local time Wednesday (2137 GMT; 4:37 p.m. EST), less than 10 minutes before sunset.<\/p>\n<p>Climbing through broken clouds, the Soyuz ST-B headed into a polar orbit with the six OneWeb communications satellites, logging the first of a planned 21 Soyuz missions to deliver more than 600 OneWeb spacecraft to orbit over the next two years.<\/p>\n<p>These photos show the Soyuz rocket\u2019s fiery liftoff from French Guiana.
