{"id":14609,"date":"2017-05-19T01:08:13","date_gmt":"2017-05-18T17:08:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/photos-spacexs-falcon-9-rocket-begins-flight-with-inmarsat-satellite\/"},"modified":"2017-05-19T01:08:13","modified_gmt":"2017-05-18T17:08:13","slug":"photos-spacexs-falcon-9-rocket-begins-flight-with-inmarsat-satellite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/photos-spacexs-falcon-9-rocket-begins-flight-with-inmarsat-satellite\/","title":{"rendered":"Photos: SpaceX\u2019s Falcon 9 rocket begins flight with Inmarsat satellite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SpaceX\u2019s Falcon 9 rocket took off for its sixth flight of the year Monday from launch pad 39A in Florida, lofting an Inmarsat mobile broadband communications satellite to an orbit more than 40,000 miles above Earth.<\/p>\n<p>The Inmarsat 5 F4 satellite is en route to a circular geostationary orbit, where it will expand coverage provided by Inmarsat\u2019s Global Xpress Ka-band broadband network, supplying in-flight connectivity and maritime data services worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The 13,417-pound (6,086-kilogram) spacecraft, made by Boeing, lifted off at 7:21 p.m. EDT (2321 GMT) Monday from pad 39A at NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Falcon 9\u2019s nine Merlin engines, generating 1.7 million pounds of thrust, propelled the satellite toward space, and an upper stage engine ignited two times before releasing Inmarsat 5 F4 in
