Raw fire power is blasted into a hillside as ATK test fires a solid rocket booster motor that burns 6 tons of propellant each second with expanding gases and flames exiting the nozzle at speeds in excess of Mach 3 and temperatures reaching 3,700 degrees Fahrenheit Tuesday.
