The spacecraft forms part of ArkEdge Space\u2019s Lunar Navigation Satellite System (LNSS), developed under the Japanese Government\u2019s Space Strategy Fund and aligned with the international LunaNet initiative alongside ESA and NASA.<\/p>\n<p>The mission aims to deliver navigation signals to the lunar surface, enabling positioning, navigation and timing capabilities for rovers, surface assets, and future crewed operations. Dawn\u2019s proven radiation-tolerant electronics were first contracted on SatDrives for <strong>Blue Canyon Technologies<\/strong> in 2024, for two Venus-class microsatellite buses.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis programme builds on the work we\u2019ve already done for Lunar missions\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>says <strong>Jeroen Wink<\/strong>, director and CRO at Dawn Aerospace. <em>\u201cIt reflects Dawn\u2019s expanding mission expertise, further grounded in proven heritage from over 175 Dawn Aerospace thrusters currently in orbit.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Takayoshi Fukuyo<\/strong>, ArkEdge Space CEO, said: \u201cThe Lunar Navigation Satellite System will provide operators with the information to deliver accurate, safe and efficient activity on the moon\u2019s surface.
