The satellites were integrated by Germany\u2019s launch integrator <strong>Exolaunch<\/strong>. The mission included a satellite supporting Spire\u2019s participation in the MagQuest challenge, an NGA-led initiative to advance measurement of Earth\u2019s magnetic field.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The satellite carries a first-of-its-kind diamond quantum magnetometer system developed by SBQuantum, designed to provide high-accuracy geomagnetic data for the World Magnetic Model (WMM). Following the launch, Spire will provide data to <strong>NOAA\u2019<\/strong>s National Centers for Environmental Information and <strong>NASA<\/strong>\u2019s Goddard Space Flight Center for assessment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget-layout related-content-also-read-box my-3\">\n<h4 class=\"mb-0\">Also Read: What is Satellite IoT?<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Advancing In-Orbit&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Laser Communications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The launch also included Spire\u2019s seventh Optical Inter-Satellite Link (OISL) satellite, marking a further development in the Company\u2019s capabilities for direct optical communication between satellites. This technology enables satellites to communicate directly in orbit using laser links, facilitating faster, more secure data delivery and reducing reliance on ground station proximity. The project is supported by the <strong>European Space Agency (ESA)&nbsp;<\/strong>and the UK Space Agency (UKSA) under the Pioneer Partnership Projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expanding Commercial Space Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Onboard the launch, Spire-built satellites served missions across Earth observation and IoT connectivity:<\/p>\n<p><strong>HANCOM InSpace:<\/strong> Spire launched Sejong-3, a satellite developed in collaboration with HANCOM InSpace to support satellite data applications. This launch follows the successful deployment of Sejong-1 \u2014 South Korea\u2019s first private commercial satellite \u2014 and Sejong-2, further strengthening HANCOM InSpace\u2019s expansion of space-based data services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Myriota<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Four satellites were launched, expanding the IoT&nbsp;provider\u2019s constellation and global space infrastructure to enable more scalable and reliable IoT connectivity for smart devices worldwide.
