After completing the Critical Design Review in January 2026, Tyvak International will begin the implementation phase, with launch currently planned for 2028.<\/p>\n<p>The RAMSES mission will study Apophis during its close approach to Earth on April 13, 2029, when the asteroid will pass closer than geostationary orbit. This event offers a rare chance for scientists to observe how Earth\u2019s gravity may affect the structure and behavior of an asteroid, helping improve models used to understand and reduce planetary defense risks.<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget-layout related-content-also-read-box my-3\">\n<h4 class=\"mb-0\">Also Read: What is Payload Integration in CubeSats &amp; Small Satellites?<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>Operating aboard the RAMSES spacecraft, developed by OHB Italia, the Farinella CubeSat will be one of two spacecraft deployed to explore the asteroid\u2019s subsurface using low-frequency radar.
