The cameras will provide enhanced views for the approach and docking of commercial space taxis that are being developed to ferry astronauts to and from the station. SpaceX’s crew-capable Dragon capsule and Boeing’s Starliner are to be launched on their first test flights to the station and back by the end of this year. Today Feustel and Arnold also swapped out a different camera assembly, closed an aperture door on an external Earth-imaging experiment and did other chores.

.@Astro_Feustel just leap-frogged four spacewalkers today to become third all-time accumulating 60 hours, 21 minutes AND counting in total spacewalking time. #AskNASA https://t.co/yuOTrZ4Jut pic.twitter.com/D1o1op9hfW

— International Space Station (@Space_Station) June 14, 2018

NASA astronaut Ricky Arnold looks out from the International Space Station’s Quest airlock at the beginning of a spacewalk.
