Eventually,&nbsp;the feud cooled down as both SpaceX and Blue Origin met with different variants of space success, focusing on greater and greater rocket reusability.<\/p>\n<p>Those who fellow Bezos\u2019 space venture will recognize the hashtag at the end of today\u2019s tweet, \u201cGradatim Ferociter,\u201d which is Latin for \u201cStep by Step, Ferociously.\u201d Bezos has said the phrase represents his approach to spaceflight.&nbsp;\u201cIf you\u2019re building a flying vehicle, you can\u2019t cut any corners. If you do, it\u2019s going to be [just] an illusion that it\u2019s going to make it faster. \u2026 You have to do it step by step, but you do want to do it ferociously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Falcon Heavy Animation\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tk338VXcb24?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen=\"\" data-ratio=\"0.5625\" data-width=\"800\" data-height=\"450\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0px; width: 800px; height: 450px;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Should the Falcon Heavy launch prove successful, it will be more than a small step in the field, which is currently being advanced by space-minded billionaires like Bezos and Musk.<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s first test launch is due to&nbsp;take place at the historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, which previously served as the site of liftoffs for moon rockets and space shuttles.<\/p>\n<p>Falcon Heavy will have&nbsp;more payload-to-orbit capacity than any rocket since the Apollo era\u2019s Saturn V,&nbsp;and could eventually be used to send payloads to the moon and Mars as well.
