Right now, SpaceX is scheduled to take the first turn at flying astronauts in mid-2018, but that schedule could easily change depending on how quickly the two companies make progress on the Dragon and the Starliner. To keep track of that progress, check out NASA’s blog postings on the Commercial Crew Program.

But who’ll wear it better? The SpaceX suit certainly has its fans: Within just a couple of hours, the Instagram posting attracted more than 140,000 likes, and Musk’s follow-up Twitter post attracted 4,600 likes and 1,300 retweets.

We’ve already gotten our first peek at the spacesuit that astronauts will wear when they’re riding in SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spaceship, but SpaceX CEO Elon Musk set hearts racing once again today when he sent out a picture showing the spacesuit being modeled next to the Dragon 2: https://www.instagram.com/p/BYyvO2WA3Ra/ The picture emphasizes the classic black-and-white […]

[2
291,1395,190,1464,316
post-18812","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","tag-commercial-space","tag-dragon","tag-nasa","tag-spacesuit","tag-spacex
