To be a fashionable geek is usually a contradiction of terms, but Apollo 11 moonwalker Buzz Aldrin and Bill Nye (\u201cthe Science Guy\u201d) pulled it off during New York Men\u2019s Fashion Week.<\/p>\n

The 87-year-old former astronaut teamed up with the bowtie-wearing educator and TV personality to show off space-shiny duds designed by Nick Graham.<\/p>\n

Nye, who got his start on TV as a geeky experimenter on KING-TV\u2019s \u201cAlmost Live\u201d late-night show, doubled as the announcer for this week\u2019s runway outing, titled \u201cLife on Mars: Fall-Winter 2035.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nye wore a silver-and-charcoal suit featuring a Saturn print, while Aldrin showed off a shiny metallic bomber jacket, worn over a black and silver version of his trademark \u201cGet Your Ass to Mars\u201d T-shirt.<\/p>\n

The show marked a remarkable comeback for Aldrin, who suffered respiratory problems last month during a trip to Antarctica. At the show, Aldrin talked about the importance of exploration \u2013 and referred to comments that President Donald Trump made about space spending during the campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I have to tell the president that exploration inspires more than fixing potholes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Aldrin, who\u2019s been a contestant on \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d and had a cameo role on the \u201c30 Rock\u201d TV series, was in fashionably fine spirits on Twitter after the show:<\/p>\n
