Peter Diamandis, Chris Lewicki and Eric Anderson of Planetary Resources at the news conference this week.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Planetary Resources, the Bellevue-based company that this week unveiled plans to launch robotic spacecraft to mine asteroids, has received nearly 1,000 job applications since making its announcement.<\/p>\n<p>The company cited the figure in a post on Twitter a short time ago, adding, \u201cThrilled to see all the enthusiasm!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At least on the technical side, it won\u2019t be an easy job to land.
