{"id":20194,"date":"2026-06-27T18:23:40","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T10:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/airanaculus-wins-nasa-contract-to-advance-lunar-communications-technologies\/"},"modified":"2026-06-27T18:23:40","modified_gmt":"2026-06-27T10:23:40","slug":"airanaculus-wins-nasa-contract-to-advance-lunar-communications-technologies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/airanaculus-wins-nasa-contract-to-advance-lunar-communications-technologies\/","title":{"rendered":"AiRanaculus Wins NASA Contract to Advance Lunar Communications Technologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Networking technology company AiRanaculus has secured a US$5 million contract from NASA to further develop communications technologies designed for future lunar and cislunar missions.<\/p>\n<p>The award, announced on 25 June under NASA\u2019s Civilian Commercialization Readiness Pilot Program (CCRPP), will support the advancement of the company\u2019s CLAIRE and INSPiRE platforms over a 24-month development programme.<\/p>\n<h2>Advancing Lunar Communications<\/h2>\n<p>AiRanaculus will work with NASA\u2019s Ames Research Center and several industry partners to enhance the two networking technologies for use in lunar and space communications networks.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes collaboration with NVIDIA, Nokia Federal Solutions, Dell Technologies, Curtiss-Wright, Supermicro and Radisys.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, the technologies are intended to improve the flexibility and resilience of communications linking lunar surface operations, spacecraft in lunar orbit and broader cislunar infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h2>Technology Demonstrations<\/h2>\n<p>The CCRPP programme aims to increase the technology readiness level (TRL) of the CLAIRE and INSPiRE systems through integrated testing and future spaceflight demonstrations conducted in partnership with NASA Ames.<\/p>\n<p>The project also complements NASA\u2019s broader efforts to establish communications infrastructure for future lunar exploration, including Nokia\u2019s programme to deploy the first cellular communications network on the Moon.<\/p>\n<h2>Company Statement<\/h2>\n<p>AiRanaculus founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Apurva Mody said the technologies are designed to support mission-critical communications in demanding environments.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cFrom resilient defense communications and interference-aware 5G systems to autonomous space networking, CLAIRE and INSPiRE represent the next evolution of intelligent communications infrastructure where reliability is mission critical, whether on Earth or beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Networking technology company AiRanaculus has secured a US$5 million contract from NASA to further develop communications technologies designed for future lunar and cislunar missions.
