Bellatrix Aerospace has raised $20 million in a pre-Series B funding round led by Cactus Partners, as the company looks to expand production of its satellite propulsion systems.<\/p>\n
The Bengaluru-based firm said the new capital will be used to increase manufacturing capacity in response to growing demand from satellite constellations in India and international markets.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis investment allows us to significantly increase annual production capacity,\u201d said Rohan Ganapathy, Chief Executive Officer of Bellatrix Aerospace.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2015, Bellatrix develops propulsion technologies for satellites and operates both in India and the United States.<\/p>\n
The funding round attracted several new investors, including Hero Investment Office, 35 North Ventures, Indusbridge Ventures and Monarch Holdings, alongside existing backers such as Inflexor, Pavestone, GrowX and Survam Partners.<\/p>\n
The investment comes as India continues to open its space sector to private companies beyond the state-run Indian Space Research Organisation, supported by government initiatives including a 10 billion rupee ($105.5 million) fund aimed at fostering startups.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
