{"id":20539,"date":"2026-03-06T22:22:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T14:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/vast-raises-300-million-series-a-and-secures-200-million-debt-for-haven-space-station\/"},"modified":"2026-03-06T22:22:38","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T14:22:38","slug":"vast-raises-300-million-series-a-and-secures-200-million-debt-for-haven-space-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/vast-raises-300-million-series-a-and-secures-200-million-debt-for-haven-space-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Vast Raises $300 Million Series A and Secures $200 Million Debt for Haven Space Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. space company Vast said it has raised $300 million in a Series A funding round and secured an additional $200 million in debt financing to support development of its Haven commercial space station.<\/p>\n<p>The financing brings the company\u2019s total new funding to $500 million and is intended to support production of the Haven station, which Vast is developing to support research and manufacturing activities in low-Earth orbit.<\/p>\n<p>The Series A round was led by Balerion Space Ventures and included participation from In-Q-Tel, Qatar Investment Authority, Mitsui &amp; Co., Ltd., MUFG, Nikon Corporation, Stellar Ventures, Space Capital and Earthrise Ventures. The round also included investment from Vast founder Jed McCaleb.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe low-Earth orbit economy is at a pivotal inflection point, poised for rapid growth,\u201d said Max Haot, chief executive of Vast. \u201cVast\u2019s Haven stations are engineered to deliver safe, cost-effective access to microgravity research and in-space manufacturing, empowering government and commercial partners to unlock the full commercial promise of this next era for space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of the investment, A.C. Charania, an advisor at Balerion Space Ventures and former chief technologist at NASA, will join Vast\u2019s board of directors.<\/p>\n<p>The funding follows a series of developments for the company earlier this year. In January, Vast said it would delay the launch of its first station module, Haven-1, from 2026 to the first quarter of 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The company also announced in February that it had secured its first private astronaut mission to the International Space Station, as part of its efforts to build commercial spaceflight capabilities.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. space company Vast said it has raised $300 million in a Series A funding round and secured an additional $200 million in debt financing to support development of its Haven commercial space station.
