The new funds will support the expansion of EnduroSat’s production infrastructure and the scaling of its latest satellite line, known as the Gen3 Endurance class.

EnduroSat’s Gen3 Endurance satellites range from 200 to 500 kilograms and are designed to be fully software-defined and modular, allowing for on-orbit reconfiguration depending on mission requirements. “By increasing our production and introducing our new generation of satellites, we’ll unlock access to satellite constellations for even more customers—with reliability and price transparency,” said Raycho Raychev, founder and CEO of EnduroSat, in a statement.

The new platform features advanced avionics capable of delivering up to 3.5 kilowatts of peak power and 2 Gbps of downlink capacity. The satellites are also compatible with a new missions-as-a-service model that the company says will reduce customer risk and streamline deployment.

The €43 million injection will fund the construction of a 17,500-square-meter facility in Sofia, which EnduroSat said would be one of Europe’s largest satellite R&D centers. The new site will include a satellite avionics laboratory, two assembly lines, expansive cleanroom space, and equipment for space environment qualification, including an anechoic chamber.

EnduroSat aims to produce up to 60 satellites per month by the end of 2024, significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity. The company currently manufactures around 12 to 15 satellites monthly and has launched approximately 150 since its founding in 2015.

“Raycho and his team at EnduroSat have taken the massive leap to go from utilizing traditional aerospace supply chains, to consumer electronics and automotive supply chains to build their products,” said Delian Asparouhov, a partner at Founders Fund. “This makes EnduroSat’s cost efficiency and performance above all in the market.”

The company plans to begin initial deliveries of the Gen3 Endurance platform later this year, with in-orbit deployments expected in the second quarter of 2026.

Bulgaria-based EnduroSat has secured €43 million ($48.8 million) in new funding to ramp up production of its next-generation modular satellites, the company said this week, marking a significant step toward delivering scalable, reconfigurable space platforms for commercial and government missions.
