Gilat Satellite Networks said it has secured an $11 million contract from an unnamed satellite operator in the Asia Pacific region to supply its SkyEdge platform, supporting advanced mobility services over very high throughput satellites (VHTS).<\/p>\n
The company said the SkyEdge platform was selected for its performance in high-capacity networks, flexibility across multiple service profiles and ability to scale as market demand grows. Deployment will support a range of applications delivered over VHTS infrastructure, with deliveries expected to take place over the next 12 months.<\/p>\n
