Starliner finishing up modifications<\/h2>\n

According to McAlister, NASA\u2019s director of its commercial space division, Starliner is still on track to launch its first crewed mission next April. This was said during a meeting of NASA\u2019s Advisory Council\u2019s human exploration and operations committee.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are on track for that launch,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019ve still got a lot of things to do, obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year Boeing and NASA announced the delay of Starliner\u2019s Crewed Flight Test, which was scheduled for the summer. The delay was due to findings that tape used throughout the cabin was found to be flammable and soft links to the capsule\u2019s parachutes would fail much earlier than expected.<\/p>\n
