The company employs workers at its headquarters in Colorado and facilities in Alabama, Texas, Florida, and California. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like most industries, COVID-19 caused serious problems for launch providers that needed to be solved last year when widespread lockdowns kept employees from working in the factories. This affected mission timelines and added difficulties when launching international payloads specifically.<\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\t\t<script type=\"text\/plain\">\n\t\t\twindow.adSlotsConfig = window.adSlotsConfig || [];<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tadSlotsConfig.push( {\n\t\t\t\tslotID: '\/1049447\/Outbrain',\n\t\t\t\tslotName: 'div-gpt-ad-outbrain-ad-17427',\n\t\t\t\tsizes: [300, 250],\n\t\t\t\tslotPosition: 'mid_article'\n\t\t\t} );\n\t\t<\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The only missions that were allowed to be worked on at NASA facilities were those considered mission-critical. These included NRO missions, NASA\u2019s Perseverance Mars Rover, and SpaceX\u2019s Starlink (due to the military\u2019s interests in it). Since then, fewer COVID-19 cases and the creation of vaccines, launches have somewhat returned to normal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image wp-block-image--obfuscated\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spaceexplored.com\/wp-content\/themes\/ninetofive\/dist\/images\/default-spaceexplored-related-guide.png\" alt=\"Site default logo image\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ULA has launched twice in 2021, after what was expected to be a relatively busy year for them. The next mission the ULA team is working on is NASA\/United States Geological Study\u2019s Landsat 9 mission launching from Vandenberg Space Force Base next month. Following this launch, NASA\u2019s Lucy mission and several Department of Defense missions will take over.
