It will serve as the mission control for the companies commercial lunar exploration program, \u201cHAKUTO-R.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-8450\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HAKUTO-R is iSpace\u2019s multinational commercial lunar program. It includes iSpace\u2019s first two missions, which entail a soft lunar landing and a lunar rover deployment in 2023. Both missions will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new mission control center will monitor HAKUTO-R\u2019s landing propulsion, temperature, on-board computers, and payload status. Imagery captured from the lunar lander will also be transmitted to the mission control center during the entirety of both missions. This will all be done with 20 staff members, including six mission directors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Running complex simulations is also something that the new facility will be capable of. HAKUTO-R will be using five of the ESTRACK network\u2019s antennas, located across four different continents:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kourou (French Guiana)<\/li>\n<li>New Norcia (Western Australia)<\/li>\n<li>Cebreros (Spain)<\/li>\n<li>Malarg\u00fce (Argentina)<\/li>\n<li>Malindi (Kenya)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of right now, the lunar lander that will be used during HAKUTO-R\u2019s first mission is preparing to enter the final assembly, integration, and testing phase.
