Netflix isn\u2019t kidding around when it comes to securing the trademark for its new \u201cSpace Force\u201d comedy. What could that mean for the sixth branch of the US Armed Forces that shares the same name?<\/p>\n

Protecting the brand<\/h2>\n

Netflix has already secured the rights to the name \u201cSpace Force\u201d across Europe, Australia, Mexico, and other countries, according to the Hollywood Reporter. <\/em>The newly established military branch has been less quick to secure trademark rights for the name in the US, however.<\/p>\n

The US Space Force is a military service branch inside the Department of the Air Force, like how the Marines are organized in the Department of the Navy.<\/p>\n
