CEO Marillyn Hewson, and Venture Capitalist Steve Jurvetson<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>have joined the notable roster of speakers at&nbsp;ASCEND, a new space economy event, held 16-18 November in Las Vegas, Nev.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cASCEND&nbsp;is the first transdisciplinary, outcomes-focused event that brings together the top decision makers to focus on the challenges and opportunities of living off world,\u201d said Rob Meyerson, ASCEND executive producer and former president of Blue Origin. \u201cBridenstine, Hewson, and Jurvetson will add powerful insight to the new space economy conversation, spurring more discussions, connections, and solutions. ASCEND is the place to be for anyone invested in expanding our human neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new space economy event will be held from November 16 through November 18, and is being created by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Tickets are available now from $425.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASCEND, which stands for Accelerating Space Commerce, Exploration and New Discovery, will cover three major areas:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accelerating the near-term commercialization of space<\/li>\n<li>Enabling the long-term human exploration and settlement of space<\/li>\n<li>Exploring the security,&nbsp;policy, and&nbsp;legal ramifications of space endeavors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrator Bridenstine will also publicly appear at TechCrunch\u2019s first-ever TC Sessions: Space event later this summer.
