Neo Space Group (NSG) and Saudia have activated the NSG Skywaves inflight connectivity (IFC) service aboard the airline\u2019s first Airbus A321XLR aircraft, marking the first line-fit deployment of the system. <\/p>\n

<\/path><\/svg>SpaceTechnology<\/p>\n

The service combines NSG Skywaves with SES\u2019s Open Orbits multi-orbit network, integrating geostationary (GEO) and medium Earth orbit (MEO) satellite capabilities to provide low-latency, high-speed internet connectivity across major international flight routes.<\/p>\n

NSG announced the milestone on June 29.<\/p>\n

Multi-Orbit Network Delivers High-Speed Connectivity<\/h2>\n

According to NSG, recent operational testing conducted by its engineering and operations teams recorded onboard internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps per aircraft.<\/p>\n

The inflight connectivity system was installed as an Airbus HBCplus line-fit solution through collaboration between NSG, Saudia, Airbus, SES, and Rave Aerospace. Installing the system during aircraft production allows the connectivity equipment to be integrated before delivery.<\/p>\n

Saudia Introduces Connected Passenger Experience<\/h2>\n

Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, is the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to operate the Airbus A321XLR.<\/p>\n

The airline said the new connectivity service is designed to enhance the passenger experience by enabling reliable internet access and supporting a broader range of onboard digital services.<\/p>\n

Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Guest Experience Officer at Saudia, said the technology represents an important addition to the airline\u2019s newest aircraft.<\/p>\n
