{"id":3991,"date":"2016-12-09T11:52:09","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T11:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/china-launches-4th-data-relay-satellite\/"},"modified":"2016-12-09T11:52:09","modified_gmt":"2016-12-09T11:52:09","slug":"china-launches-4th-data-relay-satellite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/china-launches-4th-data-relay-satellite\/","title":{"rendered":"China Launches 4th Data Relay Satellite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p >BEIJING, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) &#8212; China successfully launched the Tianlian I-04 satellite on Tuesday from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China&#8217;s Sichuan Province.<\/p>\n<p >The satellite was launched on a Long March-3C carrier rocket at 11:24 p.m. Beijing time.<\/p>\n<p >Developed by the China Academy of Space Technology under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the satellite will join its three predecessors to achieve global network operation.<\/p>\n<p >The network is expected to provide data relay, measurement and control services for China&#8217;s manned spacecraft, space labs and space stations.<\/p>\n<p >The network will also offer data relay services for the country&#8217;s medium- and low-Earth orbiting resources satellites, as well as measurement and control support for spacecraft launches.<\/p>\n<p >China launched its first data relay satellite, the Tianlian I-01, in April 2008.
