No exceptions were identified,\u2019 noted <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff66\">FRR<\/b> minutes. \u2018Will carry one special topic forward to review the plan for airflow and CO2 management. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Due to the late addition of the CDRA Dessicant\/Sorbent Bed R&amp;R to the mission requirements, final planning for this activity is still pending.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"156\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=42357\" width=\"231\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\/\">Discovery\u2019s mission will include early inspections of her TPS (Thermal Protection System) with the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) arm. This is required, following clearance issues with the OBSS (Orbiter Boom Sensor System) and the huge Kibo laboratory that Discovery is carrying. <\/p>\n<p>The previous mission, STS-123 with Endeavour, left the OBSS stowed on the S1 Truss, to await Discovery\u2019s arrival next month. Once docked, the opening EVA will carry out the retrieval of the boom, allowing for any focused inspections to take place.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99ff99\">STS-124<\/b>\/1J mission objectives were summarized, along with the activity for each Flight Day,\u2019 added the <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff66\">FRR<\/b> minutes. \u2018The highest priority mission objectives are to retrieve the OBSS from the S1 Truss. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018(Other priorities include the) release of the elbow camera <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ff9999\">launch<\/b> locks, rotate Expedition 16\/17 (Garrettt Reisman) for Expedition 17 (Greg Chamitoff), install the JPM onto the Node 2 Port ACBM, and activate a single JPM power\/avionics channel.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The SSP Flight Readiness Review outlined all the new operations being incorporated into this mission \u2013 with several review articles to follow this week.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b><i><u>  <\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99ff99\">STS-124<\/b> Pad Flow Latest:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Discovery continues to push towards the start of S0007 (<b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ff9999\">Launch<\/b> Countdown) operations, with Orbiter and SRB (Solid Rocket Booster) hydraulic operations to support hypergolic fuel load operations completed on Saturday, and SRB hydraulics testing continuing Monday. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"183\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=45691\" width=\"232\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\/\"><em><font color=\"#0033ff\">Now on L2: A stunning 50 minute (1.9gb) high quality camcorder video of a special All Access tour of the VAB, Pad and OPF-3. Get up close with two orbiters, next to the engineers, ride the VAB elevator to the top of the building, walk around the pad and enter OPF-3 to within touching distance of Atlantis. <font color=\"#ff0000\">FREE TRAILER NOW AVAILABLE \u2013 CLICK IMAGE<\/font>.<\/font><\/em><\/p>\n<p>A number of issues are being worked at the pad, though this is usual for this stage of the flow. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018MEQ (Mechanical Systems) airlock B-hatch seal had a third area of minor damage,\u2019 noted processing information on Monday. \u2018It was documented with mold impressions and photos. The hatch was closed for flight at 01:30 local on Sunday and a good leak check gave good rationale to accept the seal for flight. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018FSS (Fixed Service Structure) 107 foot level GSE (Ground Support System) skid drain valve failed to open when commanded. An alternate skid vent valve was used to support fuel loading and there was minimal operational impact to fuel ops. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Post hyper load troubleshooting will determine whether the valve is mechanically or electrically failed.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>Testing of the replaced MDM (Multiplexer\/Demultiplexer) card (FA2) is still ongoing, following retests over the weekend. This follows last week\u2019s \u20182-1-1 Split\u2019 of Discovery\u2019s General Purpose Computers (GPCs). <\/p>\n<p>\u2018MDM FA2 retesting continued through Saturday in concert with Orbiter and SRB hydraulic operations,\u2019 added processing information. \u2018More retesting is scheduled today (Monday).\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #99ff99\">STS-124<\/b> remains on track to meet the provisional <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ff66ff\">May<\/b> <b style=\"COLOR: white; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #880000\">31<\/b> <b style=\"COLOR: black; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ff9999\">launch<\/b> date, with installation of ordinance on the stack starting on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Orbiter aft closeout operations were worked through the weekend and will continue through Thursday. SSVR (Solid State Video Recorder) retest was completed on Saturday successfully. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018Lightning protection system checkout scheduled for today. LOX and LH2 dewpoint and conditioning is scheduled for today.
