Looks like we\u2019ll get around 70 lbs of O2 transfer to ISS on Flight Day 2,\u2019 noted information on Thursday.<\/p>\n Flight Day 8\u2019s \u2018dump day\u2019 \u2013 which involves the offloading of waste water from the orbiter \u2013 was slightly delayed due to an issue during the parking of the SARJ (Solar Alpha Array Joint). <\/p>\n \u2018During P3 SARJ parking, toothcrash caused SARJ Shutdown to fail. Normally failure occurs after three failed attempts to lock the SARJ but this time it failed after the first attempt,\u2019 noted MMT information. There appears to have been an Ada exception in the P3-2 MDM during the first recovery attempt. <\/p>\n \u2018There is a SPN for the TRRJ where this type of failure is considered a \u2018nominal failure\u2019 case. As there is no such SPN (yet) for SARJ, the team elected to swap SARJ strings. SARJ took a long time to get in a good configuration. Delayed maneuver and water dump init by about an 1.25 hours.\u2019 <\/p>\n More updates from the Flight Day will be added when available. <\/p>\n Meanwhile, Thursday\u2019s PRCB has approved changes to a number of what is hoped will be six missions this year, based around the delay to STS-122 due to the ECO (Engine Cut Off) sensor system modifications.<\/p>\n Titled \u2018Update Launch Dates for STS-125 and subs,\u2019 the presentation deals with the resulting downstream impacts of STS-122\u2019s move to February 7, 2008.<\/p>\n The changes push Atlantis\u2019 next mission (STS-125 to service Hubble) from August 7 to August 28 \u2013 although memos note this could eventually move into September \u2013 as observed on some planning manifests.<\/p>\n Endeavour\u2019s LON (Launch On Need) rescue role for STS-125 \u2013 tagged STS-400 \u2013 has a NET (No Earlier Than) launch date of September 4, moving from August 14, although she will take up residence at Pad 39B, for the last time by a shuttle due to the pad\u2019s role for the Ares I-X test flight \u2013 ahead of Atlantis\u2019 launch, due to the lack of safe haven at the ISS during the Hubble mission.<\/p>\n The mission will be the heaviest logistics flight ever, involving practically everything the ISS requires for a six person crew \u2013 including the kitchen sink \u2013 while also debuting a re-entry experiment.<\/p>\n According to the PRCB presentation, STS-126 has moved from September 18 to October 16, which also causes STS-119 \u2013 with Discovery \u2013 to slip to December 4, from November 6. <\/p>\n These changes still allow for six missions in 2008, although it does not take into account an ongoing evaluation at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), relating to production problems with ET-128 \u2013 the first tank to have a titanium modification to its Ice Frost Ramps (IFRs).<\/p>\n Lockheed Martin managers are still working on a refined delivery date for the tank, which has been documented several times over the previous month as \u2018weeks\u2019 down on its required delivery date that would allow STS-124 to launch in its allotted window in April \u2013 with processing timelines showing the launch will be pushed out into May.<\/p>\n \u2018These dates are based on vehicle processing at KSC. They do not avoid all the manifest constraints,\u2019 added the presentation. \u2018Continue to identify constraints, recovery plans, and decision points to prevent negative work and maximize supportability to the space station and HST.\u2019<\/p>\n Refinements to launch dates will \u2013 as always \u2013 continue to occur over the coming months, though there is no schedule pressure involved.
