transform: initial !important; vertical-align: initial !important; visibility: inherit !important;\"><\/path>\n<p>     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/p>\n<p><em><u>Article: <\/u><\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Although no in-depth processing information has been made available today \u2013 due to the July 4th holiday \u2013 engineers were working on demating Atlantis as of last night, with high powered lights being placed around the orbiter\/SCA duo to aid continued work. <\/p>\n<p>No notes of an actual problem had been mentioned \u2013 although soaked by a downpour that occurred over the SLF area not long after she&nbsp;arrived at the MDM (Mate De-Mate) facility. <\/p>\n<p>Confirming Atlantis had been successfully demated Wednesday afternoon, United Space Alliance updated information to note \u2018At the SLF: OV-104 (Atlantis)&nbsp;is being towed to OPF-1 at this time,\u2019 at 3:15pm Eastern.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"130\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=13815\" width=\"200\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\/\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">**Ride home through the fire and plasma of re-entry with Atlantis on STS-115 \u2013&nbsp;And&nbsp;now also with&nbsp;Discovery on STS-116&nbsp;\u2013 TWO Stunning high quality&nbsp;2hr, 355mb videos \u2013 from deorbit burn to post landing**<\/font><\/p>\n<p>Around 50 engineers are working through the holiday at KSC, helping safe Atlantis inside OPF-1. Several weeks of post flight processing will take place, in tandem with pre-launch processing for Atlantis next mission, STS-122.<\/p>\n<p>That December&nbsp;6 (NET \u2013 No Earlier Than) mission will see Atlantis deliver the European built Columbus module to the International Space Station (ISS), along with the ICC-Lite. The mission will also carry out the crew rotation of Expedition 16 Flight Engineer Daniel Tani.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nSTS-122 was set to be Atlantis\u2019 final mission to the ISS, with only STS-125 \u2013 to service the Hubble Space Telescope \u2013 remaining before her retirement. However, that decision was reversed last month, adding two more missions from the current manifest, which keeps Atlantis flying until early 2010.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nIn other news, Endeavour has been successfully mated to ET-117 on Wednesday. She has now been detached from the sling which carried her over from the transfer aisle in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), ahead of STS-118\u2019s August 7 launch date.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u2018VAB HB1 S0004.
