However, Atlantis was demated to the tank following the loss of Columbia on STS-107, as the shuttle program stood down due to the disaster. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">ET-117 \u2013 set to fly with Endeavour on STS-118 \u2013 was remeasured during recycling for flight, at which point some measurements were found to be out of spec. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">There was concern by some engineers that this condition could also exist on STS-117, which was taken to a pre-brief \u2013 without a resolution, before heading to the MMT. Flight rationale was already in place due to all leak checks and helium signature data proving to be within specification.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2018I\u2019m fully satisfied with the rationale for the tank,\u2019 added&nbsp;Launch Director Mike Leinbach.&nbsp;\u2018So from our perspective we\u2019re ready to fly.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"130\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=13815\" width=\"200\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\/\"><font face=\"Arial\"><\/font><font color=\"#0000ff\" size=\"2\">**Ride home through the fire and plasma of re-entry with Atlantis on STS-115 \u2013&nbsp;And&nbsp;now also with&nbsp;Discovery on STS-116&nbsp;\u2013 TWO Stunning high quality&nbsp;2hr, 355mb videos \u2013 from deorbit burn to post landing**<\/font><\/font> <\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The MMT took dissenting opinion that more evaluations would be required, but that was later withdrawn. Had the MMT decided to do further checks on STS-117, a delay of between three and five days would have followed.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\n<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><\/font><\/p>\n<p>\u2018We did meet today as MMT, we had a few issues as we left the FRR (Flight Readiness Review)&nbsp;that we wanted to work to compleition,\u2019 said NASA manager Leroy Cain.&nbsp;\u2018We had some non standard work which we worked through.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We asked the team to work some techinical issues, but at the end of the day we concluded that we feel very good at where we are with Atlantis and the STS-117 stack.
