Following the completion of two years of training and evaluation, he was assigned technical duties in the Astronaut Office Station Operations Branch.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><br \/>\n<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The approval of the long-expected rotation of Anderson and Williams was finally confirmed by NASA last Thursday, following the confirmation from the Russians that Anderson\u2019s seat liner for the Soyuz spacecraft could be delivered to NASA on time for the June 8 launch of Atlantis. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">\u2018IELK shipping is currently planned for May 21st with delivery to KSC around the 25th. Due to the potential shipping issues, late stowage possibilities has been <br \/>reviewed and coordinated with KSC,\u2019 noted one NASA memo. \u2018Return manifest priorities are in-work. Drew is currently on sabbatical to the U.S. Air Force\u2019s Air University at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, attending a Master\u2019s Degree program at their Air War College. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Drew received his commission as a Second Lieutenant from the United States Air Force Academy in May 1984. He completed Undergraduate Pilot Training \u2013 Helicopter at Fort Rucker, Alabama and earned his wings in March 1985. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">His initial assignment was to the HH-3E flying combat rescue. He transitioned to the MH-60G and was assigned to the Air Force Special Operations Command. There, he flew combat missions in operations JUST CAUSE, DESERT SHIELD\/ DESERT STORM and PROVIDE COMFORT. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">He completed USAF Fixed-Wing Qualification in April 1993, and the United States Naval Test Pilot School in June 1994. He has commanded two flight test units and served on Air Combat Command Staff.
