This has now changed.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">\u2018Atlantis rollout from the VAB to Pad A has been rescheduled to May 12th,\u2019 noted processing and ATK information on Friday.&nbsp;\u2018The STS-117 launch date remains June 8th.\u2019<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"130\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=13815\" width=\"200\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\/\"><font face=\"Arial\"><\/font><font color=\"#0000ff\" size=\"2\">**Ride home through the fire and plasma of re-entry with Atlantis on STS-115 \u2013&nbsp;And&nbsp;now also with&nbsp;Discovery on STS-116&nbsp;\u2013 TWO Stunning high quality&nbsp;2hr, 355mb videos \u2013 from deorbit burn to post landing**<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">This will mean Atlantis\u2019 stay inside the VAB will have reached 72 days, with pad processing to last 27 days, ahead of the NET (No Earlier Than) June 8 launch.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">While there hasn\u2019t been confirmation on why the delay was called on Friday, an extension to the ET repair timeline would cause a follow-on effect on the SSME removal requirement.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">However, ET-124 repair work has been going well, as work now moves on to another stage \u2013 the process of \u2018sand and blend\u2019 which will smooth down some of the applied foam that was filled into the damaged areas of the&nbsp;tank.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">\u2018Sand&nbsp;&amp; Blends activities are scheduled to begin this morning,\u2019 added the processing information.&nbsp;\u2018A Pre-task briefing will be held prior to each shift, today, to ensure all personnel understand the \u2018Sand &amp; Blend\u2019 processing requirements for these areas.<\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0cm\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">\u2018Additional intertank defect evaluations &amp; measurements are complete.
