**Over 2100mb of STS-116 onwards related presentions and mission documentation <\/em>available on L2<\/em> **<\/em><\/p>\n **LIVE news updates on Discovery STS-116 Processing at the Pad**<\/em> Extensive Launch and Mission coverage begins Wednesday night<\/em><\/p>\n **LIVE news updates on Atlantis STS-117 (STS-317) Processsing Flow**<\/em><\/p>\n Flight Director Leroy Cain noted that at present Discovery is on the timeline in the countdown for the Thursday night launch at 9:35pm local time, with cryogenic loading set to take place tonight.<\/p>\n While the L-2 MMT proceeded relatively smoothly, two issues remain outstanding. <\/font><\/p>\n \u2018We met today at our L-2 MMT and reviewed several items in the meeting \u2013 as we always do in the way of status,\u2019 noted Cain. \u2018We also reviewed several items that are open, and we have a couple of new issues. <\/font><\/p>\n \u2018Two of the issues that we\u2019re working through will be discussed at the L-1 MMT meeting (Wednesday), because we don\u2019t yet have enough data coming into the meeting today to discuss in any level of detail. <\/font><\/p>\n \u2018We don\u2019t yet know what some of the systems on the orbiter saw, as the guys have not had a chance to go look at the data, so they are going to do that. We do know \u2013 in the case of the other elements \u2013 such as the External Tank, Solid Rocket Boosters and main engines, that we don\u2019t have any issues with those due to the configuration they were in at the time of this transient condition. <\/font><\/p>\n \u2018Because the transient was very short lived \u2013 less than half of a second \u2013 that we\u2019re probably not going to have any issues with that.\u2019<\/p>\n Engineers and technicians are checking Discovery at present to gain more data on the incident. The resulting information will be presented to Wednesday\u2019s T-1 MMT. <\/font><\/p>\n NASA educational resources (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});<\/p>\n \u2018The second issue is with the Solid Rocket Motor, relating to the plies that are on the joint (J Seal). <\/p>\n \u2018There is a pressure sensitive application \u2013 adhesive if you will \u2013 and there may be an issue with one of the poll tests for this specific adhesive material. We don\u2019t know the details of it yet. We were adjusting the power from the MLP (Mobile Launch Platform) to the orbiter and there was a transient \u2013 or erratic condition, which put a voltage condition on the main A Bus on the orbiter that resulted in that Bus coming off line and being shared by the other two Buses \u2013 Main B and Main C. <\/font><\/p>\n
