Use discount code \u2018nasaspaceflight\u2019 when ordering from Countdown Creations &amp; receive 5% off!<\/em><\/font><\/p>\n<p><\/font>Documents acquired by NASASpaceflight.com point to ET-123 now hitting a critical production path, with technicians and engineers all being moved to ET-118 work, to ensure that tank makes it to KSC in time to support STS-121 with STS-300.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">Added to the need for a re-work on areas of ET-123, its projected shipping date of August 7 is now under review. This situation was highlighted during last Thursday\u2019s PRCB (Program Requirements Control Board) meeting.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">Just last week, Wanda Sigur, ET Project vice president at Lockheed Martin, noted that all available workers are being allocated to ET-118. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"93\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.nasaspaceflight.com\/forums\/get-attachment.asp?action=view&amp;attachmentid=4933\" width=\"270\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\">This requirement is described as \u2018jeopardizing ET-123 production\u2019 on the acquired document.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">STS-115, currently on the schedule as NET (No Earlier Than) August 28,&nbsp;sees Atlantis re-starting ISS (International Space Station) assembly flights, carrying the P3\/P4 truss uphill to the outpost.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">The supporting LON (Launch On Need) date in support of STS-115 is November 11, currently tagged STS-301, although that will revert to the STS-300 designation once STS-121 (Discovery) stands down the need for a supporting rescue mission this July.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">Shuttle managers, working alongside the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF)\/Lockheed managers will have to come up with a recovery plan, which will likely come into effect once ET-118 is shipping to KSC.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">However, MAF information notes the following:&nbsp;\u2018Cell A processing, impacting critical path, due to resource allocation required to support ETs 119 and 118 and rework associated with ET-123 Intertank stringer, TPS injections and thrust panel pocket TPS spray.\u2019 It is not clear how much time will be impacted on ET-123\u2019s schedule with this re-work.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\"><font color=\"#ff0000\"><font face=\"Arial\"><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"90\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/content.nasaspaceflight.com\/library\/1016\/logo2_1bk.jpg\" data-rel=\"penci-gallery-image-content\" width=\"182\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\"><\/em><\/font><\/font><em><font face=\"Arial\" color=\"#ff0000\">Live updates and information resulting from the PRCB&nbsp;are available on L2. Full PRCB Documentation relating to this article&nbsp;will be available on L2 from the weekend.<br \/><\/font><\/em><br \/>Also adding to MAF\u2019s workload is the continuing issue of the ECO (Engine Cut Off) sensors \u2013 this time with ET-118.<\/font><font face=\"Arial\"> <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">Following ET-119\u2019s R&amp;R work, it has come to light that the current stock of ECO sensors being used in all the current ETs are from the \u2018same build time frame as ET-119 and ET-120 sensors,\u2019 and have a \u2018history of measurement anomalies associated with \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcloose swage\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 (possibly related to tooling fatigue) from that build time frame.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">  <\/p>\n<p><em><font color=\"#ff0000\"><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"90\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" src=\"http:\/\/content.nasaspaceflight.com\/library\/1016\/AdBanners\/storelogo3.jpg\" width=\"182\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"5\" border=\"0\"><\/font><\/font><\/em><\/p>\n<p>  <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">The PRCB heard that a recommendation to replace the ECO sensors in ET-118 is the best option open to engineers, with the remaining question on whether to carry out the work at MAF or KSC. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018ET-118 ECO sensors removal\/replacement recommended due to eliminate suspect \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcloose swage\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 condition,\u2019 noted the information acquired. \u2018Option 1: R&amp;R sensors at MAF.
