{"id":42261,"date":"2005-10-13T23:22:52","date_gmt":"2005-10-13T15:22:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/ariane-5-launch-success\/"},"modified":"2005-10-13T23:22:52","modified_gmt":"2005-10-13T15:22:52","slug":"ariane-5-launch-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/ariane-5-launch-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Ariane 5 launch success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ariane 5 has scored a double success with Syracuse 3A and Galaxy 15 with another on-schedule launch, which orbited a dual payload consisting of a military communications satellite and a multi-mission civilian relay platform.  <\/p>\n<p>  The Ariane 5 Generic launcher lifted off from Europe\u2019s Spaceport in French Guiana at the 7:32 p.m. opening of its launch window (local time in French Guiana), and flew the planned trajectory to deploy Syracuse 3A and Galaxy 15 in geostationary transfer orbit.<br \/>\n<font face=\"Arial\" color=\"#333333\">A broadcast from ESA\u2019s (European Space Agency)&nbsp;Arrianespace website<\/font><font face=\"Arial\" color=\"#333333\">&nbsp;showed the Ariane 5\u2019s ascent and climbout, including the jettison of its two solid propellant boosters at an altitude of some 69 km. <\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s mission underscored Arianespace\u2019s flexibility to accommodate multiple payloads on a single Ariane 5 flight, as well as its ability to handle spacecraft from both civilian and military customers. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cArianespace celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and tonight\u2019s success is exemplary \u2013 placing our 225th and 226th satellites in orbit,\u201d Arianespace CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall said in post-launch comments from the Spaceport.<\/p>\n<p><\/font>  <\/p>\n<p><font face=\"Arial\" color=\"#333333\">ESA\u2019s joy helped ease some of the pain from losing their&nbsp;<!--StartFragment -->Cryosat satellite, lost when its Russian&nbsp;built<!--StartFragment --> Roctot vehicle \u2013 which has a Breeze-KM upper stage&nbsp;\u2013 failed to seperate during its ride to orbit, resulting in the vehicle crashing.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ariane 5 has scored a double success with Syracuse 3A and Galaxy 15 with another on-schedule launch, which orbited a dual payload consisting of a military communications satellite and a multi-mission civilian relay platform.
