York Space Systems<\/strong>, a leading, US-based national defense and commercial prime providing a comprehensive suite of mission-enabling solutions, has made contact and confirmed the healthy status of all 21 satellites in less than five hours following launch vehicle separation. The system was launched on July 16, from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA aboard a dedicated Falcon 9 in support of the Space Development Agency\u2019s (SDA) Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) Tranche 1 Transport Layer (T1TL) mission. With this deployment, York is the first T1TL performer to deploy their second plane for SDA, delivering 42 satellites on orbit.<\/p>\n Deploying and confirming the health of all satellites within hours of launch continues to demonstrate the scalability and reliability of York’s space vehicle production and operations model, supporting U.S. Government efforts to ensure resilient, low-latency satellite communications are available to U.S. and allied warfighters. A global network of Atlas Space Operations ground stations and the company\u2019s Freedom Ground Software are supporting the mission and early orbit checkout.<\/p>\n “Rapidly confirming health across 21 satellites in a second consecutive T1TL launch is proof of York’s mature high-rate production and disciplined mission operations capabilities at scale,\u201d said Melanie Preisser<\/strong>, EVP and GM of York<\/strong>. \u201cThis T1TL deployment further reinforces York’s continued role in enabling the DoD’s vision for a proliferated architecture that ensures tactical assured communications resilience for the warfighter.” <\/p>\n York continues to deliver operational capability at scale for a growing range of customers and mission sets. This launch marks the company\u2019s eighth launch overall. The T1TL system is York\u2019s third constellation, and fifth mission being operated simultaneously from their dedicated Mission Operation Centers.
