{"id":4604,"date":"2014-05-28T16:35:59","date_gmt":"2014-05-28T16:35:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/chinas-polar-orbiting-meteorological-satellite-now-operational\/"},"modified":"2014-05-28T16:35:59","modified_gmt":"2014-05-28T16:35:59","slug":"chinas-polar-orbiting-meteorological-satellite-now-operational","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/chinas-polar-orbiting-meteorological-satellite-now-operational\/","title":{"rendered":"China&#8217;s polar-orbiting meteorological satellite now operational"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                                           China&#8217;s third Fengyun-III satellite, a polar orbiting meteorological satellite, was put into operation on Monday, according to a news release posted on the website of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA).<br \/>\u3000<br \/>The satellite was handed over by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation to the CMA.<br \/>\u3000<br \/>The third Fengyun-III satellite, together with the second Fengyun-III satellite, will form a monitoring network capable of constant three-dimensional, multiple-spectrum and remote-sensing observation of the earth.<br \/>\u3000<br \/>The network of satellites will provide more and better monitoring data for global environmental surveillance, disaster reduction and the fight against climate change.<br \/>\u3000<br \/>The third Fengyun-III satellite was tested and shown to function well after being launched on Sept. 23 last year.
