It was first announced in September and developed in collaboration with <strong>Panasonic Avionics<\/strong>, which is leading business development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just another new product for us, it also represents our strategic shift and engineering development for us to get into the aviation sector,\u201d Heather Schueler, director of Americas Marketing for Intellian, told <i>Via Satellite<\/i>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The terminal is designed to provide aviation customers with speeds of up to 195 Mbps and less than 100 milliseconds of latency on OneWeb\u2019s Ku-band network. OW11FA has an embedded modem and is a self-contained single-unit system for simpler installation and integration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to Intellian, Eutelsat has committed to completing Type Approval for the aviation configuration within three months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat provides a clear path from concept to deployable solution, which strengthens the message with customers that we\u2019re not just exploring the space, we\u2019re actively moving toward qualification and readiness,\u201d Schueler added.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Intellian also debuted a next-generation tactical Wideband Global Satcom (WGS) flyaway terminal for communications-on-the-pause (COTP). It has a large 2.4 meter reflector but breaks down into transport cases.&nbsp;Named ARC-M4-L24, the terminal is designed for government and defense applications like forward-deployed units, disaster response teams, and tactical command centers<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ARC-M4-L24 is anticipated to be the industry\u2019s first tactical WGS flyaway system capable of simultaneous X-band and Mil Ka-band connectivity, for greater resiliency, anti-spoofing and operational flexibility,\u201d Schueler said. \u201cIt also features quick deployment and commissioning with no tools required for assembly.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The terminal is part of the 2.4m X\/Ka WGS Transportable Flyaway Terminal platform.
