Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Relativity Space says the first launch of the Terran R vehicle is planned for late 2026 from Cape Canaveral, Florida. In 2023, the company shifted its strategy away from the Terran 1 rocket after a partially successful first flight of Terran 1 to focus on Terran R.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBroad access to orbit enables the breakthroughs that will shape our future. From global connectivity to scientific discovery, these launches with SES represent part of a larger effort to drive innovation and push the boundaries of the possible,\u201d&nbsp;Eric Schmidt, CEO of Relativity Space, said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, took the helm at Relativity Space in March after buying a controlling stake in the company.<\/p>\n<p>Intelsat, now part of SES, had an existing multi-launch agreement with Relativity Space signed in 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SES is deepening its relationship with Relativity Space with a multi-year, multi-launch services agreement announced Wednesday.
