Assured Space Access Technologies <\/b>is rolling out a new phased array antenna system designed for missile defense radar operations and space communications. <\/p>\n
Assured Space announced the CapLink Array on Monday, explaining it is designed with a \u201cproprietary capacitive dipole element design in a novel configuration,\u201d for wide frequency bandwidth and high gain.<\/p>\n
The CapLink Array is designed to support mission profiles including missile defense radar, ground-based radar systems, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), space situational awareness, and high-speed satcom links. For space-based applications, it is able to support data transmission up to 3.5 Gbps, with potential for higher rates using advanced ground equipment.<\/p>\n
This comes after Assured Space recently announced plans for a Phased Array Center of Excellence in Melbourne, Florida, a new facility to manufacture and test phased array technology, RF antenna systems, and 5G architectures. <\/p>\n
