T-Mobile\u2019s satellite-to-mobile service, <strong>T-Satellite<\/strong> with <strong>Starlink<\/strong>, will be commercially available on July 23 and will include SMS texting, MMS, picture messaging, and short audio clips.<\/p>\n<p>In October, T-Satellite plans to launch a data service to allow application experiences on the satellite network. T-Mobile revealed the latest details about T-Satellite, June 23.<\/p>\n<p>T-Satellite will go live commercially on July 23 after being in a beta program for the last few months. T-Mobile says this satellite-to-mobile network will automatically connect to most smartphones made in the last four years, with no special equipment or setup required.<\/p>\n<p>The service will be included at no extra cost with T-Mobile\u2019s Experience Beyond plan. For customers on other plans and other carrier\u2019s customers \u2014 including AT&amp;T and Verizon customers \u2014 the service will be available for $10 per month. At launch the service includes 911 texting via satellite. T-Mobile also plans to offer 911 texting service to any mobile customer on any carrier with a compatible device.<\/p>\n<p>Also at launch, T-Satellite will support SMS for both Android and iOS subscribers, MMS, picture messaging and short audio clips for Android, with iOS support to follow.<\/p>\n<p>T-Mobile said it is working with a select group of application providers to offer satellite-enabled apps in the data service from AccuWeather, AllTrails, Apple, Google, WhatsApp and X, with more to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>T-Mobile will be launching its new nationwide satellite service to subscribers in late July.
