Iceye plans to offer utilities and energy organizations the ability to access near real-time natural disaster insights to better understand the impact on utility and energy customers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The company said Tuesday that existing clients include a U.S.-based water management district, a U.K.-based water authority, and Ergon Energy in Australia. Iceye reported that its data supported U.S. utilities after Hurricane Helene to assess substation damage and restore power.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs extreme weather and aging infrastructure strain utility systems, near real-time satellite data is essential for faster, smarter decision-making and response,\u201d said Andy Read, Vice President of Government Solutions at Iceye. \u201cOur solutions accelerate response team deployment, expedite damage assessments, and help maintain service continuity by minimizing downtime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company said its synthetic aperture radar (SAR) solutions can provide utility operators with situational awareness, data for pre-staging and resource allocation, critical infrastructure impact analysis, and model validation and resilience planning.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iceye is now supporting the utility and energy sectors with its disaster response solutions.
