{"id":49391,"date":"2025-04-06T17:01:36","date_gmt":"2025-04-06T09:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/spacex-ula-blue-origin-receive-nssl-contracts-worth-up-to-nearly-14b\/"},"modified":"2025-04-06T17:01:36","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T09:01:36","slug":"spacex-ula-blue-origin-receive-nssl-contracts-worth-up-to-nearly-14b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/spacex-ula-blue-origin-receive-nssl-contracts-worth-up-to-nearly-14b\/","title":{"rendered":"SpaceX, ULA, Blue Origin Receive NSSL Contracts Worth Up to Nearly $14B"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p data-uw-rm-sr=\"\"><strong>U.S. Space Force Space Systems Command<\/strong> (SSC) awarded Elon Musk\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>SpaceX<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>United Launch Alliance<\/strong>, and Jeff Bezos\u2019 <strong>Blue Origin<\/strong>&nbsp;nearly $14 billion in National Security Space Launch (NSSL) contracts on Friday.<\/p>\n<p data-uw-rm-sr=\"\">SSC said that the Phase 3, Lane 2 NSSL firm fixed price awards have ceilings of more than $5.9 billion for SpaceX, more than $5.3 billion for ULA, and nearly $2.4 billion for Blue Origin.<\/p>\n<p>SpaceX is expected to receive task orders for 28 of the expected 54 Phase 3, Lane 2 missions; ULA 19; and Blue Origin seven.<\/p>\n<p>The new contract awards illustrate yet again how the once-upstart SpaceX, which had trouble gaining traction with the Department of the Air Force for the company\u2019s Falcon 9 rocket, has taken over the launch market, including the military launches once provided by ULA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe overall NSSL Phase 3 mission manifest has almost doubled compared to Phase 2, with an anticipated 84 missions being awarded from FY25 through FY29,\u201d SSC said. \u201cThe increased manifest enabled the program to use the dual-lane acquisition strategy, creating the most cost and time efficient solutions for NSSL launch.
