These custom-built propulsion systems will enable both formation flying and rapid orbital changes, the latter capability being key to demonstrate the ability to operate in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) and thereby enhancing satellite performance on demand in a crisis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget-layout related-content-also-read-box my-3\">\n<h4 class=\"mb-0\">Also Read: What is Space Propulsion System?<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>The simplicity and responsiveness of Dawn\u2019s green propulsion is particularly suited for this fast-paced program, alongside rapid delivery timelines. Furthermore, the program aligns with the recent launch of the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force (prev: Royal Netherlands Air Force), the Dutch Ministry of Defence recognizing the importance that space-based assets in maintaining safety and security.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.satnow.com\/news\/dawn_aerospace_middle_new_638893646823222593.png\" width=\"612\" height=\"412\" class=\"imageload removeImageattr\" ><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEurope is taking a major leap in space responsiveness and sovereign capability,\u201d said <strong>Jeroen Wink<\/strong><strong>, Director at Dawn Aerospace<\/strong>. \u201cDawn\u2019s propulsion technology is built for missions that demand urgency, flexibility, and reliability\u2014and LEO2VLEO exemplifies all three.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the launch planned within two years, the constellation illustrates forward-thinking in Europe\u2019s increasing focus on responsivity, to adapt satellite operations in real time, a growing requirement for defense readiness in contested domains.
