{"id":49761,"date":"2025-01-30T23:41:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-30T15:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp-productionenv-bjg9h2g2bgg5b8aa.southeastasia-01.azurewebsites.net\/news\/array-labs-teams-with-raytheon-and-umbra-space-on-3d-imaging\/"},"modified":"2025-01-30T23:41:00","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T15:41:00","slug":"array-labs-teams-with-raytheon-and-umbra-space-on-3d-imaging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starpath.global\/news\/array-labs-teams-with-raytheon-and-umbra-space-on-3d-imaging\/","title":{"rendered":"Array Labs Teams with Raytheon and Umbra Space on 3D Imaging"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Silicon Valley\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Array Labs \u2014 <\/strong>a four-year-old startup that aims to field a constellation of Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) three dimensional, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) cube satellites with 20 centimeter x 20 centimeter x 5 centimeter resolutions \u2014 has teamed with <strong>Umbra Space<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>RTX<\/strong>\u2018s Raytheon business \u201cto accelerate the development and deployment of advanced 3D Earth observation capabilities\u201d for commercial, military, intelligence and other government uses, Array Labs said this week.<\/p>\n<p>Array said that its goal is to launch its first 3D cube satellites early next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRaytheon\u2019s precise 3D processing algorithms, developed over two decades of working with electro-optical imagery, are now being adapted in collaboration with Array Labs for SAR applications,\u201d Erich Hernandez-Baquero, Raytheon\u2019s vice president of space intelligence, surveillance &amp; reconnaissance, said in a statement by the companies. \u201cThis opens exciting new opportunities in commercial SAR and allows us to achieve accurate results, unrestricted by cloud coverage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Array announced that it had won three contracts from the Air Force Research Laboratory\u2019s AFWERX innovation arm: in October, a contract to develop high powered antennas for small satellites;
