Celestia UK<\/strong> announced that at the UK Space Conference 2025, it has commenced the pre-production stage of a new generation of ground station gateway. The milestone marks a major step forward in proving that phased array ground stations are now ready for commercial deployment. The Edinburgh-based business, part of the pan-European Celestia group, has started building pre-production units of the world\u2019s first multi-beam Ka-band gateway following the successful extended testing of the system with JoeySat, validating the gateway\u2019s ability to communicate reliably with spacecraft over a nine month period.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the green light to move ahead, our teams have already started work on the first preproduction units of the <\/em>Ka-band gateway<\/em>, showing that the era of electronically steered gateways has now arrived,\u201d <\/strong>says <\/strong><\/em>Dr Malachy Devlin<\/strong><\/em>, CEO of Celestia UK<\/strong>. This marks a key stage in the evolution of our work on the <\/em>UK Space Agency<\/em> supported Sunrise project with <\/em>ESA <\/em>and <\/em>Eutelsat<\/em> <\/em>OneWeb<\/em>, as phased array systems transition into commercially viable solutions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
