The Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellite, SXM-9, will deliver SiriusXM\u2019s audio entertainment and information to millions of consumers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SpaceX launched the mission on a Falcon 9 rocket, which took off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 11:10 a.m. The satellite was deployed 34 minutes into the mission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Maxar Space Systems<\/b> built the satellite, a high-powered digital audio radio satellite based on its 1300-class platform. SiriusXM ordered the satellite in 2021, along with SXM-10.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Maxar confirmed post-launch that the mission was successful.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was the first new satellite for SiriusXM since 2021, when SXM-8 launched.
