Photo: Iceye<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iceye<\/strong> now has the capability to offer 25 cm resolution for its synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. The new feature announced Wednesday is called \u201cDwell Precise\u201d and it is based on the 1200 MHz radar bandwidth,which is the maximum that commercial satellites are allowed to use.<\/p>\n<p>The company said this capability combines high quality data and high resolution, which will make a difference to identify smaller objects or targets. Iceye said this level of resolution could enable military forces to identify types of vehicles and military equipment without additional intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Iceye shared an example of the Dwell Precise SAR imagery of the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, with zoomed in images showing the level of detail available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe increased resolution will allow Iceye\u2019s customers to identify objects and features on the earth\u2019s surface with far greater clarity than was available previously, all while benefiting from the day\/night all weather imaging capabilities of SAR,\u201d commented John Cartwright, Iceye\u2019s senior vice president and head of Data Product.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iceye Dwell Precise SAR image of the port of Rotterdam, The Netherlands taken in early September 2024.
