This includes a Series B round led by Craft Ventures and other investors including Stellar Ventures, Seraphim Ventures, Toyota Ventures, First Spark, Industrious Ventures, Future Ventures, and NGP Capital. The company also received a $20M non-dilutive award from SpaceWERX, the innovation arm of the United States Space Force.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;GPS is one of the most important inventions of the modern world, but it was built for a different era,&#8221; said<strong>&nbsp;Brian Manning, Co-Founder and CEO of Xona<\/strong>. &#8220;Our mission at Xona is to rebuild the foundations of navigation and timing to meet today&#8217;s demands for accuracy, security, and resilience. With this funding, we&#8217;re accelerating from R&amp;D to delivery at scale.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s connected world relies on GPS for far more than navigation, underpinning everything from ride-sharing and delivery services to aviation safety, precision agriculture, energy grid synchronization, and the global financial markets.<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget-layout related-content-also-read-box my-3\">\n<h4 class=\"mb-0\">Also Read: Commercial Satellite Imagery: Quality Characteristics Guide<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<p>Xona&#8217;s Pulsar constellation is designed to deliver satellite navigation that is dramatically more accurate, secure, and available than today&#8217;s systems. Pulsar satellites in Low Earth Orbit provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>100x signal strength<\/strong> to deliver coverage in GPS-challenged environments, including under dense foliage and inside buildings.<\/li>\n<li><strong><\/strong><strong>Centimeter-level precision<\/strong> to enable mass adoption of autonomy and robotics.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encrypted, authenticated signals<\/strong> that are resilient to spoofing and interference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The company recently launched Pulsar-0, its first production-class satellite, marking a key milestone in building a full constellation of hundreds of satellites that will provide commercial navigation services worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Navigation and timing are invisible infrastructure critical to everything from aviation and shipping to agriculture, finance, and autonomous systems,&#8221; Manning added. &#8220;As we scale, we&#8217;re building a new layer of infrastructure to power the next generation of progress.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Xona&#8217;s funding will support the continued development and deployment of the Pulsar constellation, expansion of manufacturing capacity, and growth of its team across engineering, operations, customer success, and go-to-market functions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Xona, the company rebuilding satellite navigation for the modern world, announced $92M in new capital, bringing its total funding to $150M to date.
