The contract announced Monday is a firm fixed-price contract valued at $112.7 million.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The JPSS-4 mission is currently targeted to launch in 2027, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.<\/p>\n<p>The spacecraft is part of the multi-satellite cooperative Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) program, a partnership between NOAA and NASA. The JPSS constellation collects multi-spectral data of Earth\u2019s environment for NOAA\u2019s weather and climate work and for NASA\u2019s Earth science research.
