AVL announced July 10 the company has appointed Shannon Smith as chairman of the board.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">David Bowne, who was appointed president and COO in 2023 will continue in this role, assuming all operational responsibilities. He now reports directly to the board.<\/p>\n<p>The transition, which has occurred over the past two years, included the retirement of several senior leadership team members who remain engaged with the company. AvL said that its \u2018next generation\u2019 of leaders are well-prepared to serve customers and meet future challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to working closely with David Bowne and the AvL senior leadership team.
