This is AAC Clyde Space\u2019s first customer for the planned four-satellite constellation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The deal announced Tuesday is a pre-commercial agreement worth 612,000 pounds ($783,000). AAC Clyde Space developed the solution in response to CivTech, the Scottish government\u2019s flagship innovation program for public\/private partnerships.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The agreement will focus on analysis and automating and integrating image data from the Scottish Forestry\u2019s Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and operations. The satellites data will focus on tree health to identify trees affected by pests and disease.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The satellites in the Cyclops constellation will be the first 16U satellites built by AAC Clyde Space and introducing a new generation of Epic View satellites. Manufacturing for the first two satellites is underway and the first satellite is expected to launch in the first half of 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe services we will provide from these \u2018Made in Glasgow\u2019 satellites epitomize the benefits of using data from space: a cost effective way of monitoring Scotland\u2019s forests at a time of increased need.
