E-Space <\/b>completed a U.S. Department of Defense<\/b> contract with a demonstration at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, the company announced Wednesday. <\/p>\n
The announcement was light on details, E-Space said it demonstrated \u201cinnovative communications and connectivity capabilities\u201d on its Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) space system to members of the Space Development Agency (SDA) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana. <\/p>\n
E-Space has three demonstration satellites in orbit that were launched last year, with plans to launch a few thousand satellites in the coming years. The company is targeting IoT solutions and services for industries like defense, logistics, and connected vehicles. <\/p>\n
\u201cSuccessful completion of this field test is a critical proof point for how space can be leveraged to further enhance communications and situational awareness in future military operations,\u201d said CEO Greg Wyler. \u201cE-Space has game-changing technology. We are extending satellite coverage and connectivity so that warfighters, in and out of theater, have access to a new kind of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platform that can connect, sense and track all military assets across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n
